Lucky Fortune Cats: The Luckiest NFTs

What inspired you to create your own NFT collection?
My partner and I were always huge fans of animals, especially cats. Thus, we wanted to create a collection of NFTs that were associated with our feline companions. Our biggest inspiration came from our own cat, Pebbles! If you’re lucky you will even be able to find him in our collection. We wanted to include something of our culture into our collection, and we came up with fortune cats as a result.
Tell us what makes your NFT character special
Our NFTs are designed after the Maneki-neko. They are traditionally seen seated holding a koban coin with one paw raised in a beckoning gesture. These figurines are often believed to bring good luck to the owner. Each cat carries a different lucky blessing with them such as: health, wealth, love, happiness and many more. There are also 8 limited edition cats inside our collection that provide special perks to their owners!
What bonuses and perks do you offer your community members?
On launch, every 10 LFC minted, 1 LFC will be given away to a minter through a raffle until we reach 1111 mints or November 10. Every mint will be equal to one entry.
Every Lucky Fortune Cat owner will be able to access the temple when it opens. Each LFC owned by the holder will grant a certain amount of luck based on the rarity of their traits and will also allow their owners to pray once per week at the temple, gaining additional luck. The 88 owners with the most luck will receive 40% of secondary sales royalties. We will also have numerous giveaways along the way.
Besides giving back to our community, we’d also like to give back to society by helping out less fortunate people/animals through our charity program. Owners will also have special benefits and perks for all our future projects.
Share your plans to develop your project in the near future
25% sold — We will be donating 20k to a charity (our pool of reputable foundations) chosen from by our community members.
50% sold — We will be giving away 100 LFCs. Every LFC owned by an address will be equivalent to one entry to the raffle. The temple will officially be opened.
75% sold — Our second donation to a charity, however this time around it’s going to be 50k.
100% — 25 ETH give away to our community members. Every owner holding a limited edition will receive 1 ETH. The remaining 17ETH will be split among 88 LFC owners. Same rule as before, every LFC owned by an address will be equivalent to one entry to the raffle.
Along the way we will be hosting numerous giveaways on Discord, Twitter and Reddit.
We will also be looking into producing merchandise such as clothing, cat toys and 3d-printed fortune cats! We are always open to suggestions from our community members!
Tell us something interesting about your team
We’re a duo that also happen to be a couple. We are both artists, however only one of us can program, so it was really easy to split up the workload! Actually we have a third member that acts as our moral support, which is our cat Pebbles.
What are your thoughts on the NFT market today and what are your predictions for the future?
I personally believe the NFT market is still in its infancy. There is still a long way to go before it becomes something widely accepted by the general population. I feel like most people are averse to NFTs at the moment. Spending money on digital items seems like an outrageous idea to them. But I think this is a normal response to people who don’t understand the underlying technology or haven’t really taken the time to look into it. Most individuals do not trust novel technologies right away, they want to stick with familiar subjects. In this instance, it could be real estate, the stock market or even cryptocurrencies. It will take more time before the masses understand and accept this market. At the moment, I feel like we’re at a crossroad in the NFT market. I personally see a bright and hopeful future with tremendous opportunities for the NFT space but whether or not it is the case, only time will tell. One thing’s for sure, the NFT community is one of the best ones out there.
