What inspired you to create your own NFT collection?

My own cats! In the beginning, I was already sure I wanted to make collectibles of a cute animal. And since I love colours, I wanted to make at least a good variety of them, which is perfect for collectibles!

Tell us what makes your NFT character special

The general idea for my collectibles is to be varied cats — some average fur colours and some bright “unnatural” ones, in different colour backgrounds but most of them being based on places outdoors or something partly/fully abstract.

During October, I’ve been drawing Halloween themed cats with as many unique characteristics as possible — and the same will be when it comes to the following holidays/seasons, even after minting the upcoming 10k Katzen, always 1/1. 🙂 (+ I plan to eventually mint as well a small collection of kittens to complete the cat family!)

What bonuses and perks do you offer your community members?

I am still very new to the NFT market, so I’m still figuring out how everything works. For now my project is only on a pre-sale price, but I’m considering on having a % of the royalties split amongst the holders of Katzen. I’m still in the process of learning, specially as there are many technical details, so I want to make sure to come up with something neat for my community.
In any case, any updates and decisions made will be notified on my Twitter (and pinned) as fast as possible.

Share your plans to develop your project in the near future

I’ll continue working on my project — I have 10k Katzen ready to start minting (manually) and I will continue drawing more cats based on holidays/seasons, random unique cats, and eventually I will mint a mini kitten collection.
If I actually start having a lot of sales, I will donate a % of it to charity and possibly a % on investments given opportunities and new ideas (as well as give back to the NFT community — to start buying some NFTs and supporting other artists).

Tell us something interesting about your team

My team is currently just myself. I am 24, live with my mother and 27 cats — we also feed stray cats in the vicinity daily (they are rather numerous), and try to treat/make sure the ill or harmed ones go to the veterinary. There are also some kind people in the neighbourhood who help the stray cats.

My original idea, back some weeks ago when I started working on my NFTs for the very first time, was to have fun as I learn to draw digitally (I had never done digital art before!). I didn’t actually expect much, but I would’ve been really happy if I managed to earn a bit of money from selling some NFTs, which would help my mother to rent another affordable house (the current one is in bad conditions), me going to Europe so that I can work there and have a more decent earning for the purpose of being able to help my parents financially to feed the cats + if possible, to bring my father back and help them buy their first house too, at least a bit of contribution (my parents agreed with this idea). I live in Brazil for 9 years now, and with the Brazilian salary and economy, it’s very difficult to save any money at all, so I figured I need to work abroad to be able to improve my life, my family’s and the cats’ as well.

But if I actually manage to have a plentiful earning from NFTs, I will not only manage my travel abroad to work, but also help my parents, the cats, and donate for animal charity, for I see so many animals in need of help, medical treatments, food and shelter.

Also — I’d like to mention that @SanguineForge (@Royalcolorgames in discord) has been kindly teaching me about the NFT world. He is a very kind person who likes to help and support new artists, and I find this a very noble character and attitude.

What are your thoughts on the NFT market today, and what are your predictions for the future?

I’m still new to the NFT world, I pretty much found out more about it only in late September 2021 and quickly had ideas for my own first collection.
It seems to be a young market, recently popularised — but a very promising one as it not only allows artists to grow and be appreciated worldwide, but also the NFT market can be very positive and productive to the world in diverse ways.

Why should collectors get your NFT?

As I have mentioned previously, if I manage to have some profits from NFTs, I’ll gladly donate a % of my sales to animal charity organisations/caretakers — always making sure they are legitimately taking care of the animals though. Here, for example, since there is somewhat of an overpopulation of stray animals, there are many animal charity organisations/caretakers which I can help.

Once I hit 3000 USD worth of profit, I will donate 10% of it — then, every +1000 USD = 10% of it will go for animal charity. Always with screenshots as proofs on my Twitter page, as any important information will be present there, to stay as transparent as possible always, not only to my community, but overall.
