What inspired you to create your own NFT collection?

There’s no single answer to this, probably, it was the development process of the crypto community that we’ve been a part of for years. Fateful events, development processes, our own projects and ideas are all part of modern history. We all see what’s going on, but it doesn’t always click with people who understand the big picture. For us, it was odd to see an astonishing response from the community to the Crypto Punks collection, and it’s obvious that this response had to have a reason.

We thought this wasn’t entirely fair, and that we wanted to tell a more early, but nonetheless important story for all of us. This way, we’ll bring this part of history a little closer, because cypherpunk and cryptoanarchism are the beginning. We probably won’t repeat all of our stories here, you can already see them in our project, and you’ll see more.

Tell us what makes your NFT character special

We decided to use the masks idea inspired by WIRED Crypto-rebels as the main styling decision, and, again, as a reference to one of the first significant materials in the field, ‘A Cypherpunk’s Manifesto’. Nonetheless, each NFT in our first collection is a unique persona with its own history and visual references, it’s not that hard to figure out who’s who — but it’s fun to figure out and, through that, to meet them, obviously, not in person, which is very important.

What bonuses and perks do you offer your community members?

Initially we planned to only create one Cypherpunk collection, but almost immediately, we decided to go much broader, since our goal is to at the same time bring history closer and revive it. The second collection, Cypherpunk: Rebels, is much bigger than the original one, and we will use some basic popular mechanics there. Already, people are lining up for the whitelist to get special offers and the opportunity to get a piece of history.

Share your plans to develop your project in the near future

Apart from all the mentioned above, we also plan to launch a third collection, Cypherpunk: Anarchists. Here, we have the same goals — actualize forgotten history for as many people as possible. This collection’s main goal will be to surprise everyone. And what we plan to do really is interesting.

But that’s not is, huge experience in this industry in a range of projects actualized a relatively old idea that was collecting dust on the shelf.

We plan to release indexes reflecting the transition and decline of the old system, a ‘stablecoin’ (but not a literal stablecoin), we’re working on a game concept. And on the peak of all that humanity should reach in the end, we’ll just do it a little early, you’ll see.

Tell us something interesting about your team

I wouldn’t like to share any specifics at this point, I can only tell you we come from the same crypto community, some of us have been here for a long time, some just recently, but are just as excited about this idea. One thing unites us — our experience and the desire to share and make something new.

What are your thoughts on the NFT market today, and what are your predictions for the future?

As strange as it is, we started to work with NFT back in 2018, and their place in the presumed project was wider than the usual gist of modern NFTs, I guess you could compare it with NFTs in modern games, but incorporated into the real world. The concept was shelved for now, but sooner or later it will be realized.

And in general, now we’re, of course, at the sandbox stage, there’s a lot of interesting stuff in store, we can already visualize it, but the format of this interview isn’t about that. Maybe, in time, we’ll publish a separate piece on this.

Why should collectors get your NFT?

Like many NFTs, they’re unique art pieces that already have their place in the world, including as social media avatars. But you just need to understand, I guess we’ll have to circle back to the previous question, that nothing stops us from having separate verification procedures through specific NFT ownership in any services, games, etc. Your NFT can become a ticket to an event, your MMO RPG skin, a coupon.

Our idea is a bit more global. Owners of the original collection will have the option to be part of building the architecture of the future blockchain that will completely change the way we see decentralization. All the information we’re prepared to release now is on our site and blogs, follow us, and we’ll share the full story.
